23 Members of Class of ‘23
Awarded Scholarships!
By Nancy Ketch ’82,
HHSAA President
In an interesting twist, we presented 23 scholarships
to the Class of ’23 at Last Chapel in June. A total of
$69,000 in scholarships was presented giving each
recipient a $3,000 award. We also continue to cover
our obligations on renewable scholarships so this year
we will be paying out nearly $100,000 in scholarship
funds.
Included in the scholarship awards were over $27,000
from the Henry, Elizabeth & Janet White Scholarship
Fund, over $22,000 from the Hamilton & Maxine
Giberson Scholarship Fund and more than $16,000
from the Roger M. Rines Scholarship Fund. A first-time
award was presented from a new fund – the Margaret
E. McCluskey Cleary Family Scholarship Fund. Margaret Principal Morse’s Last Briefing to the Class of 2023
