Sad Time for Alumni Association as RSU
#29 Loses Two Great Administrators

The Association relies on information and guidance from
the high school principal and obviously with the director
of the Guidance Department. We have had a wonderful
relationship with the school’s current principal and guidance
administrator for the past several years. Unfortunately, this is
ending as current Principal, Tim Tweedie and his wife, Erica
McGary Tweedie ’00, Director of Student Support Systems
in guidance, are leaving at the end of this school year to
pursue new interests.
Tim has been with the Houlton Middle-High School
since 2007, first as a high school social studies teacher
and department chair and working his way up to building
principal in 2020 after receiving his Master of Science in
Educational Leadership in May 2018.

His wife, Erica, has been with the school since 2004, starting
her career as an ELA teacher in grade 8. Continuing in her
career, she became a Gifted and Talented teacher in grades
3 thru 8, a seventh grade ELA teacher, Houlton Middle-
High School Counselor and since 2020 has been Director
of Student Support Systems. In this latter position, she has
been instrumental in giving guidance and input into the
Association’s annual scholarship program and monitors the Stock Photos
disbursement of funds to students’ colleges, as necessary.
