The Spring/Summer ’20 Issue’s “Test Your Memory” we said would be hard and it was.
No one even attempted to make a guess.
It could have been solved if anyone noticed the website information at the top of the photo.
WE ASKED:
“What is this a picture of?”
“They have a purpose. What are they doing?”
“What is the event?”
“When was the picture taken” We gave a hint of Dr. Bob Smith takes his last drink and AA is founded.
ANSWERS:
• This is a picture of the Houlton High School Marching Band.
• The event is the Houlton Armistice Day Parade in Market Square.
• The band was leading this parade which was a large parade.
• The year was 1935. Go on-line and investigate Dr. Bob Smith and the creation of AA. It is a remarkably interesting
story of a very troubled man.
