Class of 1973 50th Reunion

The Lakeside Restaurant at the Houlton Community Golf Club on beautiful Nickerson Lake was the setting for the 50th
reunion of the Class of 1973 on Sunday, July 2nd. Almost 90 class members and their spouses from all over the United
States were in attendance. Considering the rainy weather this summer, it cooperated with a beautiful day that allowed
folks to appreciate the informal deck seating arrangement. There was a low point in the event in which a moment
of silence was held for the 30 members of the class that have passed away, but this was followed with a high note in
which Tara McPhee Austin was awarded the coveted 50th reunion jacket that is presented by the Houlton High School
Alumni Association each year to someone in the class having their 50th that the class chooses as being deserving for
the work that he or she does for their class.
