Answer to the Photo

In the Fall/Winter ’20 issue, page 41, we asked if anyone knows who these
lovely ladies are and what the significance of the photo is as we were sent this
and don’t know anything about it and we would like to label it for our files.

We had Rachel Good ’60, Linda St. Peter ’60 and Jennifer Gogan ‘92 write to
tell us that they know what the photo is.

This is the 1960 Cheerleaders. From Left to Right: Nancy Benn, Sally
Wakefield, Sue Carroll Swimm, Brenda Hare, Rachel Ann Good, Linda
Peabody Severson, and Beverly Young. Absent when taken were Geneva Sharp and Charlene Walhaupter.

Jennifer Gogan said her aunt took the picture and the ladies were wearing the coats because they were going to a game “up
North” and wanted to make an impressive entrance. We think it really was because the busses were terribly cold, and the trip was
going to be long. - Ed
