It is doubtful if the Department of Health would
permit this establishment today due to all the mud
with horse apples mixed in that can be tracked in.
Most likely no one died or even got sick because of
conditions.
McGary’s Store – In Union Square Circa 1880’s - 1890’s
8 Park Street is where John Dunn lived for many years but at the turn of the
century W.F. Jenks lived there. He was the customs collector and his office
was on the second floor of the old post office on Water Street. Circa 1891.
