        Other awards presented included $23,000 from the Henry, Elizabeth & Janet White Scholarship Fund.  There was a
        $3,000 scholarship presented to Anessa Wilde who will attend Johnson & Wales University for Culinary Arts/Food
        & Beverage Business.  Four $5,000 scholarships were also presented from the White Fund.  Those were awarded
        to Ellen Hatfield who will attend Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada studying Marketing/
        Arts; Addison Michaud, University of Maine Presque Isle (UMPI), Secondary Education; Rebecca Mooers, Clark
        University in Massachusetts, Biology; and Carolyn Mooers, Saint Joseph’s College Maine, Nursing.

        The James F. McPartland Scholarship in the amount of $2,100 was presented to Patrick Howe.  Howe will study
        HVAC at EMCC.


        There were seven $2,000 scholarships presented from general Alumni Funds.  These awards went to Cassandra
        Butler, who will be attending Thomas College to study Business/Marketing; Kristen Graham, UMPI, Physical
        Therapy Assistant; Devin Ivey, Thomas College, Business; Alexis Miller, Husson University, Business; Parker Willard,
        University of Maine Fort Kent (UMFK), Cyber Security; Kiersten Langley, UMPI, Social Work; and Dawson
        McLaughlin, University of Maine, Engineering.


        Kristen Brewer, who will study Speech and Communication Disorders, and Benjamin Lowery, who will study
        Physical Therapy Assistant, both at the University of Maine, were each recipients of $1,500 scholarships from the
        general Alumni Fund.


        Seven $1,000 scholarships were also presented from general Alumni Funds with five of those being made possible
        by a contribution from the Houlton Water Company.  The seven recipients were as follows: Christopher Cameron,
        who will attend Northern Maine Community College majoring in Auto Collision; Zachary Fitzpatrick, University
        of Maine, Engineering; Aspen Flewelling, UMFK, Business; Tyra Gentle, UMPI, Nursing; Zachary Hagan, Thomas
        College, Cyber Security; Sakima Lee, University of Southern Maine, Social Work; and Cody Shaw, UMFK,
        Emergency Management.

        The funds for the scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the alums.  Funds from the Annual Fund are
        combined with earnings from the Endowment Fund which includes a number of named scholarship funds.
        We anticipate increasing the amount of awards again in 2019 with at least three more new awards expected by then.

           are well on our way to having 100 years of recorded HHS history in the form of North Star yearbooks. Yearbooks can be
