Answers to the Fall/Winter ‘23
Test Your Memory
Well folks, we did not include the results of this Fall/Winter ’23 “Test Your Memory” in the Spring/Summer ’24 issue due
to lack of space as eclipse articles took precedence. But we will refresh your memories again of this “test” and give you
the answers.
This issue’s test is a short one that can be solved by going to the
Southern Aroostook Historical and Arts Museum website and doing
some sleuthing.
https://www.houltonmuseum.org/
HELPFUL HINTS: #1 - From the home page click on Galleries. The
magic number is 4 but is it 4 from the top or 4 from the bottom?
You figure it out!
#2 - What color is the house? It’s a clue to the photographer.
Three simple questions to answer for this issue’s picture.
1. Who is the photographer?
2. What street in town is this home located on?
3. What is the significance of this photo?
Bonus Question: Answer this question and you will earn an extra Gold Star. What is the street number for this home?
If you find the answers to the other three questions, this one is a snap.
This quiz is easy to solve but only if you follow the guidelines outlined above. Good sleuthing!
THE ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS:
The photographer was Wendell White, and the subject of his picture is a home on Court Street. This structure was the
first Post Office in Houlton and for the bonus question answer it is located at 98 Court Street.
Unfortunately, no answers were received from the sleuths for this issue’s quiz, so sadly the score stands
